Mrs. Peacock is a little mad that Captain Peacock didn't come home last night. Even worse, it seems that he is linked up with Mr. Rumbold's secretary, Miss Hazelwood! When the torrid lovers arrive late to work, Mr. Rumbold questions Miss Hazelwood, who gives a story about being with a girlfriend for the night. But Miss Hazelwood's father calls up and reports that he spoke to her girlfriend: Miss Hazelwood is lying! Captain Peacock is blamed and put on trial by the rest of the staff. During this trial, Mr. Grainger has a problem with a sultana and there is the debate over the durability of Mrs. Slocombe's hair. He is ultimately acquitted, kind of, but do you think he was telling the truth about what had happened the night in his car?
