And since we're here...a little Messenger ettiquette lesson:

• Do feel free to send me an IM if you see me online! I like getting messages :)
• I keep VERY eccentric hours online: sometimes I'll be on several times in one day and then not at all for several weeks. If what you want to talk to me about is time-sensitive, you should e-mail me.
• Don't spazz if I don't respond immediately to your message. Sometimes I'm away or too busy to chat at that exact moment--try again later. Hounding or harassing me to respond will only make me block you.
• If I'm in Away, Busy, Invisible or some other "Not Here" mode, please respect that. Sending one message is fine--if I'm able to talk to you, I will respond. If I don't respond, then it's it's not a good time for me to talk, and you'll have to try again later.

And last: Please DO NOT think that because I write you back that we are now best-friends-forever. Fortunately 95% of you are perfectly normal and sane people that understand exactly what I mean and aren't offended by that sentence. If you're one of the 5%...well, now you know the score :)
