Ok, we all know Captain Peacock is a cad. But now it's caught up with him: his girlfriend has just transferred into the accounts department to be nearer to him. Mrs. Peacock knows about this and has given Captain Peacock an ultimatum. The staff get together to try to discourage Miss Bagnold (the girlfriend) from pursing him: confronting her in the canteen to staging a mock seduction of Mrs. Slocombe by Captain Peacock (and Mrs. Slocombe, by the way, really gets into her roles in these adventures, don't you agree?). The staff really starts to worry when Captain Peacock goes to buy a skirt, garters, a hat and a shirt and then goes off to the men's changing room. It's only a disguise for a fancy dress ball and almost no one else knows that, but the effect it has on both situations (his wife and his girlfriend) is amazing!
