Goodbye Mrs. Slocombe

Mrs. Slocombe was ill, but she's all better and goes back to work...and wishes she stayed home. A new retirement policy is forcing her out of her job. She tries pleading the "I'm Younger than I Claimed on My Paperwork" case complete with blond wig and tight dress, but that doesn't work. She then is willing to take any job at Grace Brothers that she can get: floor cleaner, window washer, canteen assistant... Meanwhile, her replacement, Miss Featherstone, proves to be cold, unyielding, rude, and with friends in high places (ouch!). The staff conspires to get her sacked, using Mr. Humphries in drag, a little dictatorship from Captain Peacock, and a couple of well-aimed rubber bands to get her ticked off enough to quit... which she does! But does Mrs. Slocombe get her job back? After Captain Peacock and Mr. Rumbold learn that the retirement sacking will very well affect them too, they decide that something needs to be done about getting her back in...and keeping their own jobs safe.
