Diamonds are a Man's Best Friend

Grace Brothers never pays their employees enough, so the staff is always desperate for money. And the opportunity arises when a diamond is lost in Grace Brothers and the owner posts a reward for it. Depending on who you talk to, the award is either £75 or £100. All activity halts as the staff goes on a diamond hunt, with deals to split the reward being made as each person thinks he/she has found the diamond. The ladies decide to hide their find in Miss Brahms' pantyhose, while Mr. Lucas tries to sneak the diamond away from under Captain Peacock's nose and ends up imitating a case of lumbago that Mr. Humphries obligingly massages for him. At the end, the staff brings together their "diamonds" only to find out that 1. Most of them are paste and there is only one real one lurking about that 2. Mr. Grainger had found, and 3. the reward is not quite what Mr. Rumbold claimed it was. Mr. Grace promises to match the reward but it's not disbursed as the staff had hoped....
