German Week
Season: 3
First Shown: 3 April 1975
Grace Brothers decides that they will spend a week selling German-made goods. This does not sit too well with the staff, as now they are not only forced to sell all-new merchandise, they have to learn some of the German terminology as well! Naturally, sales the first weeks are not stellar: the Germans aren't buying because they came to Grace Brothers looking for British-made goods! On the brighter side, the staff has started getting a grasp of the German lingo. In order to attract attention, the staff is forced to dress in German costume...Miss Brahms looks fantastic, while Mrs. Slocombe's and Mr. Humphries' outfits leave a little to be desired. The final nail in the coffin: they all must perform a dance at regular intervals for the customers. Which may just work out, if it weren't for the fact that Mrs. Slocombe is three sheets to the wind during the rehearsal...
