I just started watching this one a few weeks ago. I'll say it was a bit of a slow start. It took me a few episodes to see Ida as her own character instead of "this is Mrs Slocombe if she were a maid". Not the type of ensemble cast AYBS acrued, but the wife, Mrs Price and Wilfred are all great. Robert however, I find him pretty annoying.

So far my favorite episode is the one where Ida goes on trial for shoplifting, mostly because of the obvious AYBS reference with Mollie playing the customer listening to the shopkeepers gossip instead of the saleswoman.

Watched the whole lot again a few years ago - first time since it originally aired. Really enjoyed it, brought back many memories! Deserves to be remembered more than it is.

Love it dearly. Wish it had gone on longer after the relocation.

I agree - it could have gone on longer.

I was able to receive with the ten foot satelite dish that used to be at my disposal Nebraska Public Television. I delighted to see Mollie. I did not get to watch That's My Boy for very long. Theit satelite had a very weak signal than the changed to a more powerful satelite. Only thing was it was digital and my receiver wasn't. I could not watch Nebraska Public Television at all. I live in Arizona for those who don't already know.

I can't believe Christopher Blake is no longer with us.
